DESCRIPTION:Utah TIM Coalition Meeting – Thursday\, May 22\, 2025 – 11 AM-2 PM\nSalt Lake City Public Safety Building – 475 S. 300 E.\, Salt Lake City\, Utah \nPlease RSVP for the next Utah Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Coalition meeting by end of the day Monday\, May 19\, 2025 by emailing lee.perry@parsons.com. This meeting will be hosted by SLCPD Traffic Unit and Community Response Team. \nParking details will be sent two weeks prior to those who RSVP. \nTIM Coalition Presentations\n• Representatives from the Utah Labor Commission will discuss liabilities and obligations of departments and employees for staying safe while addressing traffic Incidents. We will focus on wearing high visibility or PPE and using proper training and policies to keep employees and the public safe.\n• The Community Response team will share with how they keep the officers\, fire personnel and public safe.\n• The Traffic Unit will provide one or two beneficial after-action reviews of significant crashes and how Traffic Incident Management principles can improve the situation. We will also discuss how to provide the best Traffic Incident Management in city environments in a safe and quick manor. \nLunch will be provided – please RSVP by May 19\, 2025 to ensure we have enough food for everyone. \nOur Purpose\nThe Utah TIM Coalition supports a vision of working together to “Promote\, develop and sustain a multi-disciplinary TIM program that has a multi-jurisdictional focus to achieve enhanced responder safety\, quick clearance and reliable interagency communications.” Safe\, quick clearance of existing crashes reduces the time and possibility of secondary crashes and\, it also reduces the time that emergency responders are “at risk” while performing duties to clear the roadways. \nAs always\, we encourage agencies to bring ideas or incidents to debrief at future TIM Coalition meetings.
